Donald Trump is a real life based character from the Lenny Leggo short Voting Night and is the 45th and current President of United States of America.
Bio[]
Donald Trump was born on June 14th 1946. He is a considerably wealthy business man, owning hundreds of businesses and headquartered at the Trump Tower in New York City. He began his career as a business man when his father gave him a "small" loan of one million dollars. Trump has since turned this million dollars into multiple billions of dollars, thus making him arguably one of the most successful business men of all time.
In June 2015, Donald Trump officially announced that he was running for President of the United States of America, running as a Republican candidate. He would go on to defeat several other Republican candidates also seeking the office, including Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz. On July 19th 2016, Trump was officially nominated as the republican nominee for President of the United States of America. A short time later, he selected Republican politician Mike Pence as his running mate.
A week later, it was revealed that Donald Trump would run for president of the United States of America against the nominated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The election took place on November 8th 2016. In the early morning hours of November 9th 2016, Hillary Clinton conceded the race, thus declaring Donald Trump the winner of the presidential race by default. He was sworn in on January 20th 2017 at 12:00PM EST and is now the 45 President of the United States of America, succeeding the now former and 44th President of the United States Barack Obama. Trump's running-mate, Mike Pence, was also sworn in just minutes prior.
In The Lenny Leggo Show[]
Donald Trump appears in the short segment "Voting Night". He is seen at the very end of the short, in animated form (despite his previously shown eliminated opponents shown with real-life images), giving a short monologue to the viewers (hence breaking the fourth wall) about how the "years of betrayal" are about to end once he gets into office.
Trivia[]
- To date, Trump is the only non-fictitious character to appear in The Lenny Leggo Show (not including his non-animated opponents' appearances) and is also the only one that is not voiced by Aaron Cosby, since his lines are archived.
- His dialogue at the end of the short is from an archived audio segment of a real Donald Trump rally that took place on November 7th 2016, just hours before "Voting Night" was release, in North Carolina.
